Have you ever imagined buying a Spanish property?
Purchasing your very own villa in Spain
as an investment,
a holiday home or a retirement home? The dream of buying a property
in Spain has been realised by hundreds of thousands of foreigners.
Spanish Property is so desirable that literally tens of thousands
of British and Europeans are packing up and investing in Spain.
Many people are now looking to escape British
winters and unpredictable summers for a taste of the good life
in Spain. Whether you are looking for the holiday home of your
dreams, a permanent home in the sun or for purely for investment
sake, make sure you deal with the friendly team of experts.
Most investors now agree that putting your money
into Spanish Property is a 'sure fire' thing. With the Spanish
housing market increasing by as much as 20% a year, many people
are releasing equity in their UK homes to purchase a 'holiday
home' in Spain. People buying 'off plan' are finding that their
home has made a 20-30% profit by the time it is completed.
However, buying into the Spanish property market
can be a minefield unless you are well prepared beforehand. It
may seem the easiest option to buy property through an agent,
but this can have its pitfalls, and buying Spanish property direct
from owner will require a bit of knowledge and involve finding
your own proper legal representation.
Unless you have taken regular trips to various
areas of Spain, the chances are you won't have much of a clue
about many things when it comes to buying a property in Spain.
Location is just as important as it is when buying a property
in your own country, knowing the local area, what you can expect
in rents for that area if choosing to 'buy to rent', etc. so getting
to know the area that you are interested in is essential. Spending
a couple of months in rented accommodation in your chosen area
will give you the best idea of what to expect if you were to move
there.
Most Spanish propertiy is built with the holiday
maker in mind. They are fine for 2 or 3 weeks holiday, but a nightmare
for year round living. Lack of storage space is typical in new
property, rural or mountain property is beautiful in summer, but
can be isolated out of season. Living in 'real Spain' or in a
typical Spanish Village can also be lonely, you will never be
truly integrated, although being fluent in Spanish will help and
in some cases you may acutally be unwanted!! Life on an urbanisation
which is designed with foreigners in mind, will help with integration
into a 'local community', and you will normally find organised
activities, clubs and supermarkets stocking your native products.
Prices of property in Spain vary dramatically,
obviously being far more expensive on the coast, (and again depending
on what section of coast) and again it is important to decide
on the intended use of the property as to where you should buy.
90% of holidaymakers prefer a holiday as close to the sea as possible,
